Professional Bio
Kajaal is a dedicated Dissection Scientist in Anatomical Pathology at Nepean Hospital and a PhD candidate at Western Sydney University. Her research focuses on developing 3D printed breast specimens to support dissection training for pathology trainees. Kajaal holds a Bachelor of Medical Science (Anatomy & Physiology), a Master of Research, and is currently an anatomical pathology trainee with the RCPA Faculty of Science.
With several years of experience in anatomical pathology across both the private and public sectors, Kajaal has expertise in dissection training, supervision, and competency assessment for dissection technicians, scientists, and junior pathology trainees. She has presented at several anatomy and pathology conferences and won first prize at the Australasian Society for Human Biology conference in 2022.
Kajaal has provided mentorship on projects related to 3D printed models in breast cancer research. She is also a student representative for the Australian and New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists, where she supports fellow students and contributes to discussions on clinical anatomy education.
