Dr Helen Savoia is a consultant haematologist and transfusion medicine specialist at the Royal Children’s and Royal Women’s hospitals in Melbourne.  She trained in haematology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service and has worked in both public and private sector pathology. Helen’s laboratory and clinical practice focuses on the needs of women and children with a particular interest in maternal-fetal alloimmune disorders and is involved in the care of women with these disorders.
