“A creature came through my window” - a challenging case of alleged sexual assault in an 83 yr old woman.

An 83 year old woman who lived alone independently was taken to the Emergency Department by ambulance following her disclosure of physical and sexual assault by a stranger who had broken into her home. She was subsequently admitted under the mental health act. This case report will explore the challenges faced and lessons learned.
