Clinical Laboratories play a key role in the health status of a community. The presentation will give an overview of health disparities and health equity within the context of Pathology, illustrate how clinical laboratories (e.g., clinical and anatomical pathology) can effectively engage with the communities they serve (e.g., understanding the clinical and social demographics of the populations they serve or are medically underserving), the value clinical laboratories bring to society, and how to establish and evaluate metrics of impact, financial success and innovation.
