Associate Professor Simon Nazaretian
Professional Bio
Simon is an anatomical pathologist at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne and has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors. He has interests in breast and gynaecological pathology, cytology, digital pathology and medical education. He is also Associate Professor and Curriculum and Assessment Lead in Pathology at Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences. Simon Nazaretian graduated from Monash University in 1997 with MBBS and BMedSc(Hons) and attained Fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2007. He is also Associate Investigator with Monash University Centre for Synchrotron Science. Simon is the inaugural Coordinator of the RCPA Victorian Anatomical Training Program, served as RCPA Victorian State Councillor and was on the Clinical and Technical Advisory Committee for the Australian Digital Health Agency. Currently, Simon is a Technical Assessor in Medical Testing for NATA, an Examiner in anatomical pathology for the RCPA, on the RCPA’s Academic and Anatomical Pathology Advisory Committees and is Scientific convenor of the RCPA Anatomical Pathology and Laboratory Skills Workshop.
