Dr Robert Norton is the past Director of Pathology and Microbiology at Townsville University Hospital, Queensland having retired in 2024. He has worked in remote Australian indigenous communities in the Top End of Australia. He has a research interest in tropical infectious diseases including Melioidosis, Rheumatic fever and Q fever.
