Professional Bio
Malaika Perchard is a paediatric haematologist with an interest in clinical and laboratory practice. She enjoys looking after children with a broad range of non- malignant haematological conditions including bone marrow failures, thrombosis, bleeding disorders, cytopenias including iron deficiency anaemia and haemolytic anaemia's. Malaika has a particular interest in flow cytometry immunophenotyping for both malignant and non-malignant haematology with a focus on measurable residual disease (MRD). Malaika has trained in Queensland and South Australia before moving to Melbourne to work at the Royal Children's' Hospital. She has a keen interest in research as well as teaching and education for haematology registrars, junior doctors and nursing staff.
