Dr Harsha Sheorey

Professional Bio
Dr Harsha Sheorey is a Clinical Microbiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
His special interest is in clinical parasitology and tropical medicine and is the author of the book “Clinical Parasitology – a handbook for medical practitioners and microbiologists”. He is an invited writer for the chapter on Nematodes in the American Society of Microbiology Manual of Clinical Microbiology.
Harsha has been involved in projects to improve diagnostic tests in the microbiology laboratory and co-ordinates an international e-diagnosis service (email based) for parasitic infections.
He organises the Australian Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Master Class – a biennial event of the Special Interest Group. He is also actively involved with the Australian National Strongyloidiasis Working Group.
