Prof Alfred Lam is the Foundation Chair Professor of Pathology in Griffith University and Visiting senior specialist in Pathology Queensland.  He is Assistant Chief Examiner in Anatomical Pathology for Pathologists in RCPA and Principal Examiner for Anatomical Pathology in Faculty of Science of RCPA. His research focuses are on diagnostic and molecular pathology of cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, endocrine, oral and head/neck. In addition, he has contributed to > 470 referred journal articles, three editions of the WHO on the classification of tumours, chairs the development of a dataset for the reporting of oesophageal cancer by the International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting and contributed to multiple structured cancer protocols in RCPA.
