Pathology Update 2025

All delegates are invited to contribute to the Pathology Update 2025 Scientific Program by submitting abstracts for the E-Poster Prize.

You will be awarded AU$500 for the best e-poster from each major pathology scientific discipline (anatomical pathology, chemical pathology, forensic pathology, genetic pathology, haematology, immunopathology, microbiology).

 
Application criteria
  • The E-Poster Prize is open to all delegates registered for Pathology Update 2025, including Trainees, Fellows, laboratory scientists and non-members.
  • To apply, you must be registered to attend Pathology Update 2025 with a full conference registration. You may submit your abstract before finalising your conference registration.

How to apply
  • Submit your abstract by Thursday 28 November 2024.
  • Please review the abstract submission form instructions thoroughly prior to proceeded to submit your abstract.
  • E-poster PDF submission will open 2 December 2024.

Shortlisted applicants who are chosen to present onsite will be notified by Wednesday 18 December 2024.

  • Abstracts of original research
  • Abstracts selected for the DS Nelson, BEA or RCPAQAP Trainee Prizes cannot be entered for the Scientific E-Poster Prize.
  • Full registration to attend Pathology Update 2025 is required as a condition of submission. Abstracts without registration of the submitting author (or co-author if notified) will be withdrawn.
  • If an abstract has been accepted, it is the responsibility of the applicant to keep copies of the acceptance for their CPD records.
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the Pathology Update abstract supplement in the RCPA Journal Pathology.
  • E-posters will be on display onsite at Pathology Update using e-poster kiosks, and also available via the Pathology Update conference app. Delegates are not required to present or stand by their posters during Pathology Update.
  • Permission to publish. If your submission has been published previously, it is your responsibility to check the previous publisher’s copyright requirements before submitting the abstract. You must have permission from the publisher to present the published abstract and poster at Pathology Update.


  • If you are submitting an abstract/s from a commercial industry organisation you are not eligible for the cash award prize.
  • You need to include a Conflict of Interest statement clearly outlining each author’s affiliation with the organisation in writing on your abstract and e-poster.
